Alan J. Simensky is a painter from Bethesda, MD. He is a self-taught artist. He has his BBA from George Washington University. Simensky’s work is included in many private and corporate collections. Some examples include the following: The West Institute, Dr. Tina West in Chevy Chase, MD / Baker Interiors, Washington, DC / Sallie Mae, Washington DC. His work, “Think Big!! Banner Project” was shown at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in 1999. He had a solo show at Fine Art and Artists Gallery in Washington DC in 1997. Simensky has participated in many group shows in the Washington, DC area since 1991. Simensky’s colorful and cheeky compositions are technically masterful without taking themselves too seriously. The style has been referred to as Post Pop and recalls other great Pop artists such as Roy Lichtenstein and Gene Davis.
