The Art Registry is showing nine images from the photographic collection “Snowbound.” For this body of work Robinson took photographs from 2003-2007 in North American winter snow. The images are minimalistic compositions that capture a meditative atmosphere, natural phenomena, passage of time and evidence of civilization. In the images snow creates a contemplative white negative space where a fence, pole, above ground pool, hammock, flowerpot and other manmade objects suddenly appear jolting the viewer back to reality.
