Jampen, Werner
Werner Jampen is a Swiss born artist from Washington DC. He was educated in Paris and London, and, also, was a student of the Art League in New York. Jampen has exhibited in Europe and The United States. Selected galleries and collections include: Gallery Beyier, The World Bank, Gallerie Internationale, Art Caprice, Arts Club of Washington, The Swiss Embassy, Washington World Gallery and Bacardi & Company. Jampen is a prolific artist. The Art Registry chose a body of work titled “The Dance” for the P Street exhibition. “The Dance” is a series of Acrylic forms cut out and pasted onto canvas or Papyrus paper in the shapes of dancing figures. Content in “The Dance” consists of color and line. The series is a successful exercise in transporting rhythm to the canvas.
