Harris, Len

Len Harris is a sculptor from Maryland. He has his BS (Stanford University) and PhD (University of Illinois) in Engineering. His career in aerospace engineering at NASA translated into artistic craft during six years of art courses at Montgomery College (1974-1980). Harris has shown in many juried and invitational exhibitions in the Washington D.C. area. He is a member of the Washington Sculptor’s Group. Harris’ sculptures are energetic abstract wood forms. Ribbons of wood intertwine, dance, unfold and grow coming together in final compositions that hint at their subjects.
