D'Orazio, Joel

Joel D'Orazio's Clearcut Treasure Boxes reflect the artist's interest in working with found and donated materials. D'Orazio has adorned these acrylic boxes with bits of ephemera ranging from bobby pins to acorns to twinkle lights. In doing so he has repurposed plain acrylic containers into whimsical treasure boxes that capture the imagination of the viewer. D'Orazio lives and works in Washington, DC and has exhibited extensively throughout the region.
